A bad action against G-d, such as desecrating the Shabbat;
or against one's fellow,such as stealing,
strengthens the forces of impurity,
causing a concealment of the divine light.
Conversely, when someone withholds from any such desecration,
he weakens the impurities and brings about revelation of the divine light.
